Last updated: September 3, 2025 • Version 2.1

AltusHost B.V. (“AltusHost”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) resells top-level domains (TLDs), including gTLDs and ccTLDs.
This Domain Name Agreement (“Agreement”) governs domain names registered through or transferred to AltusHost and any domain-related services
(the “Domain Services”). This Agreement is an integral part of our Terms of Service (“TOS”) and must be read together with:

Company details: AltusHost B.V., IJsbaanpad 2, 1076 CV Amsterdam, The Netherlands • Chamber of Commerce No. 57600511 • EU VAT NL852652896B01.

1. Linked Registrar/Registry Agreements

Depending on the TLD and the registrar of record, your domain is also governed by one or more of the following agreements (non-exhaustive):

AltusHost is not responsible for domains used with our Services but registered elsewhere.

2. Registration & Management
  1. Ordering. You may request registration via an Order in the Client Portal. Registration is not guaranteed until you receive explicit confirmation that the domain has been registered in your name.
  2. Registry rules. All registrations and ongoing use are subject to the applicable Registry’s/Registrar’s policies, which are incorporated by reference. A Registry may refuse, cancel, or transfer a registration at its discretion under its policies or applicable law.
  3. Management. For domains registered via AltusHost, you can manage contacts, nameservers, DNS, and renewals from your Client Portal (availability may vary by TLD).
  4. Non-refundability. Domain registration, transfer, and renewal fees are non-refundable once submitted to the Registry (see also our Refund Policy).

3. Registrant Data & Accuracy
  1. Required data. You must provide current, complete, and accurate registrant/admin/tech/billing contact details and promptly update any changes. The data required may vary by TLD and may change upon renewal.
  2. Third-party data. If you submit data of a third party (e.g., a client), you represent you have notified them and obtained any required consent consistent with our Privacy Policy and applicable law.
  3. Verification. Certain registries (and ICANN for gTLDs) may require email or document verification upon registration or contact change. Failure to verify within the specified timeframe can result in suspension or deletion of the domain.
  4. Consequences of inaccuracy. Providing inaccurate or false data, failing to update, or failing to respond to accuracy inquiries may result in suspension or cancellation without refund.
  5. Ownership. The registrant contact determines domain ownership. Keep registrant data accurate to preserve ownership records.

4. Publication of Data (WHOIS/RDAP), Privacy/Proxy
  1. WHOIS/RDAP. Registrant data may be processed and made available via WHOIS/RDAP subject to Registry/ICANN policy and applicable laws (e.g., GDPR). Data visibility varies by TLD and legal requirements.
  2. Privacy/Proxy. If available and ordered, Privacy/Proxy (ID Protection) may mask public WHOIS/RDAP fields. You remain responsible for the domain and must promptly respond to messages forwarded via proxy emails. Privacy/Proxy is subject to Registrar/Registry terms and may be unavailable for some TLDs.

5. Identity Checks & Compliance

Some TLDs (particularly certain ccTLDs) require documentation (e.g., local presence, company ID, tax number, trademark). We—or the registrar/registry—may request evidence to meet these requirements.
Where an order is flagged by our fraud-prevention controls, we may require quick identity verification as described in our Privacy Policy (performed via iDenfy) before activation, transfer, or changes are completed.

6. Renewals, Expiry & Redemption
  1. Auto-renewal. Domains generally renew automatically if auto-renew is enabled and payment is successful. Otherwise, renew in the Client Portal before expiry.
  2. Expiry flow. After expiry, domains may be disabled, enter grace/hold periods, and subsequently enter a Redemption Grace Period (RGP). Restoration during RGP incurs an additional restore fee set by the Registry/Registrar. Not all TLDs offer RGP.
  3. Notifications. We send renewal reminders to your portal email(s); ensure your contact info is accurate. Delivery of reminders is not guaranteed.
  4. Premium/Renewal pricing. Prices (including renewal or restore fees) can change due to Registry pricing updates or currency fluctuations. Premium domains may have different fees at registration and renewal.

7. Transfers (Registrar of Record)
  1. Eligibility. Transfers follow the applicable Registry/ICANN transfer policy. Only the current registrant (Domain Name Owner) or an authorized agent may initiate a transfer to AltusHost.
  2. Requirements. Provide the required data (e.g., Auth/EPP code), unlock the domain, and ensure the registrant email is reachable. We may request documentation proving ownership and/or authorization.
  3. Change of Registrant. Registrant changes may trigger verification requirements or transfer locks per Registry/ICANN rules.
  4. Completion. Upon successful completion, our registrar becomes the registrar of record. Transfers may fail for reasons outside our control (e.g., 60-day locks, disputes, unpaid balances).

8. DNS, Nameservers & Suspension
  1. DNS/nameservers. You are responsible for configuring DNS and nameservers. Propagation delays and third-party DNS issues are outside our control.
  2. Parking. We may park expired or unconfigured domains with a default holding page (with or without ads) until renewal or configuration.
  3. Suspension. We may suspend, lock, or modify a domain’s DNS to comply with policies, court orders, or in response to abuse reports consistent with our AUP and applicable law.

9. Disputes & Infringement
  1. Third-party disputes. You are solely responsible for resolving disputes with third parties. We are not a party to such disputes.
  2. UDRP/URS & court orders. In the event of a UDRP/URS proceeding or court order, we will comply with the Registrar/Registry instructions and may lock, transfer, or cancel a domain accordingly.
  3. Warranties. You represent that your registration and use do not infringe third-party rights.

10. Fees, Taxes & Refunds
  1. Fees. You agree to pay all applicable fees and taxes for registrations, renewals, transfers, restores, and add-ons. Fees may change due to Registry pricing updates, currency fluctuations, or policy changes.
  2. Non-refundable. Domain transactions are non-refundable once submitted to the Registry. See our Refund Policy for details.

11. Customer Responsibility

Domains purchased via AltusHost are associated with your Customer Account. You are solely responsible for managing the domain in compliance with this Agreement, the TOS, and applicable Registry/ICANN policies—even if a third party ultimately uses or benefits from the domain.

12. Termination & Changes
  1. Violation. We may suspend or cancel a domain for policy violations, inaccuracy, fraud, non-payment, or as required by law or Registry/Registrar policy.
  2. Changes. We may modify this Agreement per the TOS. Continued use of Domain Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
