VAT is only applicable for customers inside the Netherlands and customers and companies without a valid VAT number inside the European Union.

AltusHost provides services from 5 data centers across Europe. More about data centers and speed tests for each location, you may find here.
There are no hidden costs or setup fees for signing up with any of our plans. During a special that is offered, a setup fee may be included but will always be listed in the plan details when signing up.
For dedicated clients we offer a setup fee in an effort to reduce the monthly price.
Account & Billing

As soon you make one payment via card, your card will be saved, and you can use it for future payments.
The card can be removed from your account in the section “Billing” or
by contacting our Billing department via billing@altushost.com.
Yes, you can cancel your domain name before the expiration date.
It can be done in a couple of ways:
1. You can cancel via cp.altushost.com, under a specific domain, using the option “Cancel”
2. You can open a Billing ticket and ask our team to cancel the domain name on your behalf.
3. You can let the domain name expire.
Note: With this option, it is important to make sure the domain name doesn’t have a set “auto-renew” option, as it will auto-renew if you have a credit card saved in our system.
Once the domain name is renewed, we are unable to cancel this transaction.

Managed Databases

A full backup must be restored by the root user for the server. So open a support ticket and our technical team will help you to restore the backup.
A full backup is a backup of all of your files, e-mail, databases, etc. To run a full backup, you can not download the full backup right away. The backup takes time to perform and the server will send you an email once the backup is ready to download. Below are steps to requesting the backup to be performed via cPanel

Login to the cPanel
Click Backups
Click Generate/ Download Full Backup
In the drop down menu, select Home Directory
In the box to the right of Email Address, type the email address where you will receive notification once the backup is done.
Leave the rest of the settings blank.
Click Generate backup.
This will generate the backup for you and place the TAR.GZ file inside of your Home Directory.
You can now download the backup via cpanel / FTP/ or SSH
All of our offsite backups are performed and stored within the European Union.
