Last updated: January 5, 2026 • Version 2.0

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar technologies are, how and why
AltusHost B.V. (“AltusHost”, “we”, “us”) uses them on our websites and online services,
and how you can control them. For questions, contact privacy@altushost.com.

1. What Are Cookies and Similar Technologies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device (computer, phone, tablet) by a
website. They may be session cookies (deleted when you close your
browser) or persistent cookies (stored until they expire or are deleted).

We also use similar technologies such as local storage, pixels/tags, and web beacons.
These technologies help us operate our services, remember preferences, secure user
sessions, and understand how our services are used.

2. How We Classify Cookies

Strictly Necessary – Required for the website to function properly
(e.g. page navigation, account authentication, security, load balancing).
These cookies are set on the legal basis of
Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interests) and, where applicable,
Article 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract).
Consent is not required.

Functional / Preference – Remember choices such as language,
region, or interface settings. These cookies are set only on the basis of
Article 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent), where required by law.

Analytics / Performance – Help us understand how visitors use the
website so we can improve performance and content. These cookies are set only on
the basis of Article 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent).

Advertising / Targeting – Used to deliver or measure advertising or
build user profiles. These cookies are disabled by default and are only
enabled if you explicitly opt in.

3. How We Use Cookies

We use cookies to provide a secure, reliable, and user-friendly experience. Typical
purposes include:

Security and session management – user authentication, fraud prevention, rate limiting, bot detection, and session continuity.

Preferences – remembering language, currency, data-center selection, or UI preferences.

Analytics – understanding website usage and performance to improve features and content.

Support and user experience – enabling support portals, chat widgets, or remembering form inputs where applicable.

4. Analytics (Google Analytics 4)

Where enabled and with your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 (“GA4”) to analyze how
visitors interact with our website. GA4 may set cookies and collect usage data such as
page views, approximate geolocation, and device or browser characteristics.

The GA4 service is provided in the EEA by Google Ireland Limited.
We have configured GA4 with IP anonymization, limited data retention, and disabled
Google Signals and advertising personalization features.

Analytics data may be processed on Google infrastructure outside the EEA. Where such
transfers occur, appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs)
are applied in accordance with GDPR requirements.

For more details on personal data processing, see our Privacy Policy.

7. Retention and International Data Transfers

Cookies are stored for the duration defined for each cookie unless deleted earlier
by you. Analytics data retention is limited and periodically reviewed.

Some service providers may process data outside the EEA. Where applicable, we rely on
appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses. Further details are
available in our Privacy Policy.

8. Consent Records

Where required by law, we record your cookie consent choices, including timestamp and
selected categories. Consent records do not contain directly identifying information
and are retained solely for compliance and audit purposes.

We may request renewed consent periodically (typically every 12 months) or sooner if
we materially change our cookie usage.

9. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Controls

Our website does not currently respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals. Where
required by applicable law, we honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals for consent-based cookies.
