Report Abuse

AltusHost is committed to promoting responsible use of its services and protecting the rights of individuals and organizations. We require all users of AltusHost services to adhere to applicable laws and our Acceptable Use Policy. To help uphold these standards, AltusHost has implemented a clear and structured Abuse Handling Policy.

If you believe that any AltusHost service is being misused or that your rights are being infringed, you can submit an abuse notification following the instructions below.


Abuse Response Policy

AltusHost does not actively monitor how each customer uses its services. However, we take abuse reports seriously. If you have identified content or activity on our network that violates applicable law or AltusHost policies, you are encouraged to submit a report.

Our Abuse Response Team (ART) operates a semi-automated abuse handling system that functions 24/7. Each notification is automatically classified and prioritized to ensure a timely and accurate response.


Abuse Notification Requirements

To ensure prompt and proper handling, your abuse notification must meet the following criteria:

Language & Format
• Submit the notification in plain text format.
• Notifications must be in English.
• Do not use a no-reply email address.

Contact Details
• Include your full name, address, telephone number, and email address.

Technical Details
• Specify the IP address from which the infringing activity originated. This IP must belong to AltusHost.
• Include a static URL or domain name associated with the content or activity.
• Limit your report to one IP address per notification. For multiple addresses, submit separate notifications.

Content Description
• Provide a clear description of the content or behavior being reported.
• Explain how this violates your rights, the law, or our Acceptable Use Policy.

Specific Case Types
• Trademark Infringement:
— Include trademark registration details (e.g., registration number).
• Copyright Infringement:
— Provide a description of the copyrighted material.
— Include a copy or link to the original material.
• Cybersecurity Incidents (e.g., hacking, scanning, DDoS, malware):
— Include date, time, affected IPs, destination and source ports, and any relevant log data.

Include one of the following keywords in the body of your notification:

DMCA Notification Requirements

If you are filing a DMCA (Digital Millennium Copyright Act) notice, please ensure the following is included:

• A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or authorized agent.
• A statement of good faith belief that the reported use is unauthorized.
• A statement under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate and that you are the copyright holder or authorized representative.

What Happens After You Submit a Report?

Once your notification is received:

• It is categorized and prioritized by our system.
• Our Abuse Response Team may reach out for further clarification.
• In most cases, AltusHost will forward the notice to the relevant customer.
• If necessary, we may request that you contact the customer directly.

Please note:
AltusHost does not always have access to the content in question and may be limited in our response without cooperation from our customer.
